[延長退休年齡] Should the age of retirement be raised?

Extending Retirement Age

Problem:

• Lack of manpower -> Low productivity -> Downturn of economy
• Less young people work for repulsive/ long-hour job or under extreme weather. eg. washing dishes, insufficient construction workers -> Project delay             

Causes

• Aging
• Low birth rate (reasons: high cost of bringing up a kid and high consumer price)
• Excess people obtaining high level of education

Feasibility

• May alleviate the labour force problem, average lifespan is increasing due to advanced medical technology
• But experienced employees mostly reach management level, it does not help the industry involving repulsive/long-hour job or working under extreme weather
• It is just a tentative measure

Alternatives: 

• Encourage give a birth 
• Import low-skilled migrant seasonally, especially hot weather
• Import quality migrant to professions like medicine, but ensure no negative impact on the local workers
• Take reference to Germany Education system to support operating vocational school eg. VTC, MTR railway training school
